Christopher D. Smith received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard University (Cambridge, MA) and his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.). A long time resident of Florida, Mr. Smith also graduated from Pine View School in Sarasota. He is licensed to practice in Florida, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Mr. Smith started his career with the international lawfirm of Dechert LLP in 2001, and then joined the Florida Bar in 2002. He returned to Florida in 2005 to pursue a solo practice. His practice areas include bankruptcy, debt mitigation, litigation, real estate, estate planning, probate and guardianship. Outside of work, Mr. Smith is a high school football official, an avid boater, and father of two.
Katherine Aron has been legal assistant and office manager since 2007. A native of northern Maine, she brings decades of experience in office management to the firm. A former owner of an advertising/PR firm specializing in event planning, she combines strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a genuine desire to provide the best in client service. An avid golfer in her off-time, she has resided in Sarasota since 2000 with her husband, Ken, and her nonagenarian mother.
Marci Reedy graduated summa cum laude from Kaplan University, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies degree. She is currently pursuing her law degree. Marci has over 5 years of experience working in the legal field focusing on bankruptcy law.
Dena Gubiotti has been negotiating short sales, loan modifications, and deeds in lieu since 2002. She is passionate about helping homeowners in these tough economic times. She has extensive expertise in coordinating with Lenders to facilitate successful outcomes for clients.
